With all of the German Clubs in the area participating!

Celebrate the heritage of German-Americans with Music, Dance, Food and Fun for the entire Family!  Local German-American groups will provide entertainment throughout the day.

The highlight of the day will be the crowning of the Steuben Day Observance Association of Philadelphia and Vicinity's 2004 - 2005 Cornflower Queen and her Court. The Queen and her Court will represent the Association and our German - American community at various events throughout the region and at both the Philadelphia and New York Steuben Parades.

Entertainment

Musical entertainment,  including Brass Bands, accordionists, The JT Dance Band playing popular German and American melodies.
    
Performances of Bavarian, Austrian and Swiss folk dancing; also featuring Schuhplattler dancing by the G.T.V. Almrausch Dancers, United German Hungarians and children dance groups

Choral Selections by the United Singers, featuring the Ladies Heimat Echo, the VE Singers and the Schwarzwald Quartet Mens Chorus.

The grand parade of the associated member organizations

Crowning of Miss German-America of Greater Philadelphia from among candidates representing German-American societies and organizations.

4:00 PM -

Soccer Game between a visiting men’s team from Griesbach, Germany and an all-star American team from the Vereinigung Erzgebirge

Tickets

Advance tickets may be purchased at any of the local Philadelphia German-American organizations for $3.00. Tickets purchased at the gate on German Day will cost $4.00.  Children under the age of twelve can enter for free.

The proceeds from German Day benefit this year's
34th Annual German-American Steuben Parade to be held on
Saturday, September 25, 2004.
