This year's German-American
Day is scheduled for Sunday, June 22, 2008. It will
be hosted by the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein. All area
German clubs will be participating. Highlight of the day
is the crowning of Miss German-America of Philadelphia.

Der Deutsch-Amerikanische
Tag wird dieses Jahr am 22. Juni im Cannstatter Volkfest
Verein stattfinden. Alle deutschen Clubs der Region
werden daran teilnehmen. Hoehepunkt des Tages wird die
Kroenung der Miss German-America von Philadelphia sein.

We are partnering with the
German American Day Committee to commemorate
the 325th
anniversary of the arrival of the first group of
German-speaking settlers - thirteen families from
Krefeld, Germany - in America. They arrived
in Philadelphia aboard the Concord, considered the
"Mayflower of German immigration" on October
6, 1683 and founded Germantown, the first permanent
German settlement in America. Through this first
gateway, as well as others, approximately 8,000,000
inhabitants followed.
SAVE THE DATES! Between September
27, 2008 and October 6, 2008, plans are in the works
to make Philadelphia a German Town. For further
